Otovo Share the Solar Joy referral program

A) Eligibility

  1. To take part in the Share the Solar Joy referral program, you must be a resident of the United Kingdom and at least 18 years old. The person who recruits another person is called the “referrer” , while the person who is referred is called the “referred person” . The Share the Solar Joy referral program will henceforth be referred to as the “referral program” in these terms and conditions .
  2. Only individuals may take part in the program; companies are excluded from participation.
  3. Program participants may be Otovo Limited customers; non-customers are also eligible.
  4. You may not nominate yourself to earn rewards. The referrer and the referred person must be two different natural persons.
  5. “Referees” and their “referred persons”, must be able to prove different permanent residences with different addresses and must not live in the same household.
  6. Advertisers may recommend a maximum of 10 people without approval. Additional referrals beyond this limit must be approved by Otovo Limited.
  7. Employees of Otovo Limited are excluded from participation.
  8. Otovo Limited is entitled to exclude people from the referral program at its own discretion if this is justified. These include the following reasons:
    1. Violation of the general terms and conditions of Otovo Limited or the referral program.
    2. False information provided to Otovo Limited.
    3. Attempting fraudulent activity regarding the referral program.

B) Recommendation mechanism

  1. To refer someone, you should generate your own personal referral link through the following website: Otovo Referral Program . On this page you will find the instructions for creating the personal link. This link can be passed on to friends, family, acquaintances or other people who are interested in purchasing a PV system, provided they have agreed to receive the link.
  2. Existing customers also receive their link at several touchpoints when interacting with Otovo (e.g. via email or on platforms within the customer process). This link is also released for use.
  3. Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that those they refer use the referral link provided when making a purchase. Otovo Limited is not responsible for manually tracking or crediting recommendations that are not made via the provided link. Entitlement to the bonus expires if the recommendation is not followed via the link.

C) Bonuses

  1. Referral bonus: If a referred person successfully purchases a PV system via the referral link, the respective referrer is entitled to a bonus of £200 . This will be transferred to the referrer’s bank account.
    1. The entitlement to the bonus for referrers arises in the following calendar month after the installation of the referred person’s system. For instance if the referred person has a system installed on 02 February, referral bonus will be in the following calendar month, March.
  2. Discount for referred persons: The referred person who makes a purchase via the referral link receives an immediate discount of £200 on the purchase of their PV system in their personal offer.
  3. Cancellation fee and disqualification: If a referred person decides to cancel the purchase of his/her PV system, a full cancellation fee will be due, which is set out in the purchase contract. This person's referrer is not entitled to the referral bonus as referred person’s installation will not happen.

D) Data protection:

  1. Any personal information collected as part of the referral program will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  2. Personal data processed by Otovo as part of the referral program will not be passed on to third parties.

E) General:

  1. Otovo reserves the right to pay out the bonus to the referrer in the following calendar month after the bonus entitlement arises or to withhold payment of any referrals suspected of being fraudulent.
  2. The referral program is subject to English law.
  3. Otovo Limited has the option to adjust or revoke the exact terms and conditions of the referral program at any time with or without prior notice.
  4. By participating in our referral program, you agree to these terms and conditions.
